Debra
Beck Lennox paints many subjects, from florals,
ocean-inspired scenes, and still-lifes to
cross-cultural events and icon-inspired
commentaries on local Mendocino scenes.
Her
meticulously rendered watercolors, acrylics, and
oils display a strong sense of place and refer
to the intimacy we yearn for with the natural
world. Her use of saturated colors, value,
temperature and composition give her primarily
representational work a feeling of life and
vibrancy.
Debra
lives in Comptche, California, and travels for
inspiration to primarily tropical locales, as
well as to New Orleans, Louisiana, where she
spends part of her time with her family.
She uses
her architectural degree from Rensselear
Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York, as a
designer and draftsman on the Mendocino Coast.
She is a
member of the Mendocino Art Center and the
Artists' Co-op of Mendocino, where she sells
originals, laser prints and cards of her
work.
You are
also invited to contact her directly with
questions or to arrange the purchase of any of
